Procurement and Supplier Management
Overview: Organisations need to spend money in order to keep going and although costs can be managed, spending money is still necessary to continue the success and growth of your business. Therefore it is important that those involved in the process of procuring goods and services from external providers have a good grounding in the critical elements of the process and are aware of the implications of their decisions.
This course will take participants through the journey of making good purchasing decisions, making and maintaining successful supplier relationships and considering the financial and legal impacts and requirements of the decisions they are making.

- Managing suppliers to get the best deal whilst effectively maintaining good supplier relationships
- Making effective purchasing decisions
- Understanding the implications of purchasing decisions and supplier relationships on both the Profit and Loss Account/Income and Expenditure Account and Cash Flow and be able to positively influence both
- Considering the legal and regulatory requirements relevant to tendering and contracting
- Costing skills
Who is it for? This course is beneficial to anyone involved in purchasing from external suppliers. This might include large tendering activities as well as smaller day to day purchasing decisions.
